Alumni Associations activities and events:

  • Provide yearly, up to four scholarships for students at Saint Joseph High School in the name, of Fr. Joe Devlin, Fr. Louis Kern, Fr. Neal Herrlich, and Saint Elizabeth Marie Oconner. These scholarships have had values up to $1200.00 apiece.
  • Sponsor a yearly weekend reunion event in July. This year's (2009) event will be held on July 17th and 18th. Friday the 17th will be an all classes, all school, all supporters welcome, evening BBQ and picnic held on the school campus. The evening of the 18th will be the Wall of Fame Banquet, also held at the school campus to honor accepted nominees.
  • Accept and select nominations for the Saint Joseph High School Wall of Fame. Anyone may nominate these individuals. Nominations are then reviewed by an Alumni Association selection committee. The nominated individual can be selected due to athletic accomplishment while at Saint Joe or after high school on a collegiate, professional or world level. These nominees may also be selected due to there contributions to the High School or due to becoming a significant contributor to the world, state or nation in their professional or personal life, demonstrating values and Christian beliefs which stem from graduating from Saint Joe High. Past teachers, coaches, and administrators of Saint Joe High may also be nominated.
  • Hold a yearly early spring membership drive and solicitation drive for donations to fund our scholarships. These funds as well as other funds raised by the Association are then deposited into the Salt Lake Dioceses endowment fund to grow and provide future scholarships.
  • Assist and counsel the High School Administration when called upon. This may include offering advice when needed, assisting with school fund raisers or providing information regarding past traditions, faculty and memories. In addition the Association will act as guardians for the High School and its interests.
  • Assist fellow classmates and classes in planning reunions and information when possible. We however encourage classes planning reunions to join us in July for the all classes, all school, all supporter weekend events, sponsored by the Alumni Association.
  • Strongly encourage active involvement in the Association by all fellow Alumni to return what Saint Joseph High has given you.
