Vision Statement
Saint Joseph Catholic Elementary School and Saint Joseph Catholic High School share a joint vision for Catholic education in northern Utah. We provide a caring and nurturing learning environment for all of our students from Pre-K through 12th grade.
In order to guide our planning for the future, the joint school boards have endorsed the following vision:
The Saint Joseph Catholic Schools will continue to:
- promote the development of the whole child through an integration of Christian values in all aspects of the student’s education.
- provide students with a challenging and varied academic curriculum that allows them to reach their personal goals.
- provide innovative and engaging teaching through close student interaction with gifted and dedicated teacher-mentors, thus encouraging all students to excel.
- provide a wide range of extracurricular activities that support social interaction, physical development, and creative expression.
- encourage students to engage in school-sponsored community service activities in order to instill a life-long attitude of Christian service.
- provide a fully-inclusive educational environment. Saint Joseph Catholic Schools are open to all faith traditions and perspectives, we value cultural diversity and heritage, and strive to eliminate stereotypes associated with race, ethnicity, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, and disabilities.
By 2015 Saint Joseph Catholic Schools will
- significantly increase the retention rate of elementary and middle school students.
- grow the enrollment of Saint Joseph Catholic High School to 300 students.
- increasingly engage our alumni and friends through gift-giving and promotion of Saint Joseph Catholic School programs.
- strengthen the relationships between the schools and the regional parishes by actively promoting the successes of our students and the growth of Catholic education.
- build a stable financial base for our programs through a strong focus on fund raising, including endowed scholarships, and establishing a sustainable tuition base resulting from increased student enrollments.
- make substantial progress toward developing a contingency fund that will be sufficient to cover unanticipated expenses.
- establish a facilities plan and budget that provides for required maintenance and upgrade of our campuses on a regular basis.
- obtain the necessary funding to build a new wing on Saint Joseph Elementary School.
- provide important upgrades of technology, laboratory, and other equipment as needed to support our academic programs.
- provide competitive salaries for our faculty, staff, and administration that reflect their excellent and dedicated work on behalf of our children.
